A FREE acoustic evening presenting the best of today's musicians.  Always an interesting mix of styles from folk to jazz to blues to rock to you name it, with the focus always on entertainment.  Each evening comprises a number of booked acts plus various floor spots who 'pitch and play'.  These are always welcome and every effort will be made to ensure that all who turn up are given a chance to play.

With Sound Engineer Ben and the best PA around we guarantee a great sound for the performers with, usually, an opportunity (optional) to record a minidisc of their performance.  It is a lovely, waterside venue with an excellent, friendly atmosphere and easy transport links making the evening a must!

Performances start at about 6.30pm, reflecting the clientele's penchant for turning up straight from work upstairs in the offices of Canary Wharf. Performers are asked to be at the venue as early as possible.

To perform there are two options : simply turn up on the night to do 1 or 2 songs (depending on how many acts we have) or send a CD with a view to a booking for a full set. The address for the latter is Ken Wood, 1 Poseidon Court, Homer Drive, London E14 3UG.

Performers who have CDs may bring them and sell them on the night.

Telephone Ken on 07802 218 752 or 020 7538 5516 for more details

FREE Admission

Transport links: CANARY WHARF STATION Jubilee Line/ DLR

Buses 277, D3, D7, D8

(If using an Oyster card on the DLR don't forget to touch your card out at Canary Wharf station as it does not have barriers)

If driving make for Westferry Circus and enter the car park on the lower level roundabout by the sign for Tesco's.  (If you get to the roundabout with the massive traffic lights sculpture, you've gone too far and should go all the way round that roundabout and back onto Westferry Circus lower level.)  Once you've parked, take the lift to the ground floor, make for the DLR concourse. Be sure to park after 6.00pm, which will cost £1 for 2 hours or £2 for the evening.  If you enter the car park before 6.00pm, you will be charged about £3.50 per hour for as long as you're there!

Canary Wharf is a lovely development but it can be confusing because everything is symmetrical.   If arriving by Jubilee Line, bus or car the best thing is to make for the DLR concourse and proceed as follows.

To find Brodie's leave the DLR main concourse by the exit for North Colonnade  The signs are not very prominent but the flower stall is by the South Colonnade exit so it's not that one. There are two very large 'North' signs visible outside across the road.  Leave the station and cross the road walking under the DLR track which is overhead at this point.  Carry on down the steps between the buildings to the waterside and turn right.  Brodie's is the first building you see.  It's not much more than 100 yards from the station so if you're still walking in 10 minutes you've gone wrong.
